Tidecraft was born in 2023 from a successful company that was forced to cease operations due to the pandemic.

Andrew is Lead Instructor with a background as a First Responder, Firefighter and Commercial Diver, and is certified through the Canadian Firearms Safety Program, the BC & AB Chief Firearms Officers, Energy Safety Canada, Canadian Red Cross, PADI and Global Training.

Canadian Firearms Safety Program
- Did you previously hold an FAC or PAL, it expired and you need a refresher? Would you like to start hunting or target shooting? Are you expecting to inherit firearms from a family member? Do you work in a museum or educational facility that owns firearms? Or maybe you have just always been interested in what firearms are all about? This course is for the Canadian Firearms Safety Program, non-restricted PAL (Possession & Acquisition Licence). It is an 8-hour course followed by a quiz and a short practical test. The course covers some of the history of firearms in Canada, and lays the foundational knowledge of the function, handling, transportation and storage of non-restricted firearms. Non-restricted generally refers to most common types of rifles and shotguns, and we handle, load and unload all of the basic, non-restricted firearm action types. Since it is a prerequisite to applying for your licence, we set you up with the paperwork and info you need to apply for your PAL. It's an interesting and informative day, and we keep it relaxed and fun, with a heavy emphasis on safety. $200 per person with everything you need. 1.) Public courses in different locations with a maximum class size of 12 students. Open to everyone including minors from 12 to 17 years old (with parental consent).
2.) Private courses tailored to your specific needs including: First Nations, corporate & employee groups, women's only classes, youth groups and private clubs.
3.) Family classes: Tidecraft can come to your home and provide you & your family/friends with confidential, personal training in the comfort of your own shop or home.
*All of our firearms training sessions can be paired with 1 and 2 day Red Cross 1st Aid/CPR-C certification courses.
**We will travel to your company or First Nations location to accommodate your training needs with a fully mobile Instructor capability across BC, Alberta and the Yukon.**
